With the common belief that film as a medium of progressive positive change can only be attained through the widespread understanding of the medium as an art-form and the willingness to create forms within films that analyze and discourse. Documentary Open Skool as an open networking platform of amateur and aspiring filmmakers has been working in Nepal since 2008.

First time caller here, and a congrats on a nice website...
Hi all, Jiggy here from Phoenix Studios Nepal. I am a filmmaker, cartoonist, designer, writer, blablabla from way back - and now living in the Doo for good. I was pleasantly surprised to find this site while looking for opportunities to expand our studio's budding film capacities...currently we are (for the most part) a small family-run audio/visual studio (Sanz!p Rai, Jessy Rai, Samir Rai, and a few partners) doing both commercial and pro-bono productions...but more pro-bono then we would like:)
But networking is always a plus in any type of creative work (unless perhaps you are creating your own genre from scratch), so I look forward to meeting others online here that love film as I do. I'm sorry I missed the screening of Vagabond, as that was the very first screening & director meeting I had during my film school days. Paris Texas was another, so I am sure to be there.
Anyway, to the organizers of this site: well done...I like.
Jigs
