The film centre works as the core facilitation unit of all Docskool activities; functioning as a resource and idea sharing platform promoting understanding and involvement in cinema. The film centre hosts a library of books and selected films and houses with it an equipment bank providing equipments to members for co productions. A garage based sound studio and a high definition film editing suite are some post production facilities currently on offer. Aspiring to promote itself as a film art house allowing access to all individuals in spaces of ideological understanding and practical implementation of cinema, the film centre provides services on select days to the public and to members. The following activities are regularly held by the film centre:

- Friday Film Show (starting 3:30 p.m. onwards/ weekly)
- Professional discussion series on cinema (every fortnight)
- Loan of books and DVD’s for Docskool members
- Provision of film equipments on low cost rentals
- Series of workshops including the Annual workshop on Film  held in October

WEEKEND PRIVATE SCREENING

- Docskool offers weekend private viewing options for its registered members and the general public. To use the lobby  for film viewing, a lobby acquisition form must be filled and sent to the docskool office a week in advance. A list of films have been provided herewith which may be used as reference for film selection.
